Godha Devi, widely known as Andal or Nachiyar, is a revered 8th-century Tamil poet-saint and the only female among the 12 Alvars (devotees of Lord Vishnu). She is considered an incarnation of Bhudevi (the Earth Goddess) and is deeply associated with the Srivilliputhur Andal Temple in Tamil Nadu. Andal is celebrated for her intense, unswerving devotion to Lord Vishnu and her profound contributions to the Bhakti movement.
