The Sacred Art of Panchaloha – Five Metals, One Tradition

Panchaloha (Sanskrit: पञ्चलोह) is a sacred alloy of five metals traditionally used in making Hindu temple idols. The five metals — Gold (Swarna), Silver (Rajata), Copper (Tamra), Lead (Naga or Vanga), and Iron (Ayasa) or Zinc — are combined in specific proportions prescribed by Agamic texts.

At Rudraksha Handicrafts, Pembarthy, we follow the exact same tradition passed down through generations. Our master artisans have spent decades perfecting the art of casting, chiseling, and finishing each idol.

Every idol goes through a rigorous process: wax modeling, clay mold making, metal casting, cooling, finishing, and consecration. The result is a divine sculpture that carries both artistic beauty and spiritual energy.
